There are numerous ways in which industry and university relationships can be established with individual researchers and groups affiliated with MSU Mobility.  

Some ways to work with MSU Mobility:

• Research grants and contracts with individual researchers, or with groups of faculty engaged in related research,
• Participation in research centers or consortia,
• Collaboration in research and development, from basic research through product qualification, and
• Licensing intellectual property.

Our focus is on the successful transition of new knowledge into product development through close collaboration with research organizations and industrial partners.  

• Innovation Center

  The MSU Innovation Center combines innovation, technology transfer, start-up support, and a portfolio of dedicated business and community partnerships to bring cutting-edge ideas to the marketplace. Composed of MSU Technologies, Business-CONNECT and Spartan Innovations, the MSU Innovation Center stewards ideas from concept to product, launching more than 130 discoveries into patented products and start-up businesses annually.

  • Business-CONNECT:  helps companies leverage MSU’s wealth of resources more efficiently. We work with companies to align business goals with MSU’s intellectual capacity and ability to deliver results, drawing on MSU’s extensive base of human knowledge and source materials, high-end scientific equipment and facilities, and invaluable international connections and educational services.

  • MSU Technologies: MSU’s technology transfer and commercialization office. We facilitate the commercial development and public use of technologies and copyrightable materials developed by MSU faculty and staff. Our goal is to move MSU's technologies from the lab to the marketplace to improve lives and communities locally, regionally, and around the world.

  • Spartan Innovations: Spartan Innovations provides the educational and financial support necessary to turn MSU research technologies into successful businesses.
