Bio
Current research interests of Subir Biswas’ NeEWS laboratory is in the area of self-learning network protocols and their applications in transportation, healthcare, and human-machine interactions. Some of his current projects include: 1) intelligent data dissemination and caching techniques over vehicular networks using V2V, V2I, and V2Cellular links; 2) modeling network protocols as Markov Decision Processes that can learn autonomously using online learning paradigms such as Reinforcement Learning; 3) visual and vocal emotion sensing for improving inter-personal human interactions; and 4) sensor-based emotion sensing for early detection of Autism in children.
